National Museum Collage Workshop

A Workshop from the National Museum came across my timeline last week and I thought it would be a great thing to attend with my children.  Even through the flyer said children ages up to 12 years old I decided to ask if I could come with both children, my 12 year old and 15 year old.

They graciously agreed and emailed us the items we needed on the day.  The workshop itself was free but they asked you to come with items like sketch paper and elmers glue.  We added a few items of our own to see what we could add to our master pieces.

They started by 12: 15 on Saturday and it was pace.  In all we did three pieces. One seperately and two other pieces parents and children together.  I will admit our family started off slow but in the end a fine time was had by all.  The artist guiding us was Mr Keith Ward.  He was truly patient and they had items to supplement the things we bought and added items for us like glitter.

Overall we will definitely look out for any other workshops it was a great way to spend the afternoon with my girls and we got a great piece to hang on the wall as well.  Below are some pics from the day. Every family had a different take and some truly unique pieces were born yesterday.

Thank you to the Museum for hosting all of us.
