DCIT 3rd Annual Computing and Information Technology Camp

From July 17-21 2017, the Department of Computing and Information Technology (D.C.I.T.) will host their Third Annual Computing and IT Boot Camp at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus.

Camp Vision

To create a new generation of students who are motivated and interested in learning and applying Computing and Information Technology to improve Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean.

Mission

1) To inspire and stimulate student interest in Computer Science and Information Technology 2) To expose prospective students to leading research and innovative projects within the D.C.I.T. 3) To prepare prospective students for the challenges and opportunities of university life

Target Audience

Students in Forms 5 and 6 in secondary schools
Students entering university undergraduate programmes
Interested students who are eager to participate in our camp but fall outside our target audience are warmly encouraged to apply for entry.

Mentors and Volunteers

Several undergraduate and graduate students at the U.W.I. have been recruited as mentors and volunteers.

Registration: July 3 – 15, 2017

Boot Camp: July 17-21, 2017

Fee

The fee for attending the DCIT Boot Camp is $1300 TTD. This covers:
