Strong 6.2 Earthquake – 22 Jun 2024

There was a very strong earthquake felt last night throughout Trinidad and Tobago. Initial reports by the UWI Seismic Research Centre states it was magnitude 6.2. Just before midnight persons throughout the country were woken up by the earthquake. Persons in Grenada and Guyana also reported feeling the earthquake. There was NO Tsunami watch in effect due to this earthquake and no reported incidents.
