Congratulations to Jereem Richards 200M Commonwealth Champion 2022!
Congratulations to Jereem Richards of Trinidad and Tobago on capturing Gold in the 200M race at the 2022 Commonwealth Games being held in Birmingham, England!
Richards set a new Commonwealth Record with a time of 19.80. Placing second was Zharnel Hughes of England and third was Joseph Amoah of Ghana.
He said he did this in honor of his teammate Deon Lendore who passed away in January 2022 in a car crash.

The medal ceremony happened the morning after the race. For the medal ceremony Jereem Richards requested the steelpan version of the national anthem. He got his wish as the Trinidad and Tobago National Anthem was played after he received his gold medal, and looked extremely proud
