Explanation

I have to admit I took the long way for this question at first and solved it using algebra.

Then I realised if 75 is being taken away then you just have to add 1 to make both sides equal. Since 75 is being used to multiply both sides.

Algebra Solution (Long way)

First the Rectangle

199 x 75 = Rectangle x 75 – 75

Divide everything by 75

199 = Rectangle -1

199 + 1 = Rectangle

200 = Rectangle

Then the

(199 + Triangle) = Rectangle

199 + Triangle = 200

Triangle = 200-199

Triangle = 1
