January 2020 CXC New Online Registration Process

Ministry of Education Trinidad and Tobago has a new registration process for CXC examinations for January 2020.

The dates for registration : 26 August 2019 – 5 September 2019

Late Registration: 6th September and 9th September 2019

  • Step One – Determine if Payment is Required
  • Step Two – Make Payment if Required (Cash Only)
  • Step Three – Scan Take a Picture of Documents
  • Step Four – Complete Online Registration Form

Step One

Is Payment Required?

  • All non-nationals are required to pay
  • Nationals who are registering for a subject(s) for the first time as a Private Candidate and are not attending a public school are not required to pay
  • Nationals who attend a public school at present and are registering for a subject(s) in January 2020 for which they are not registered to sit in May-June 2020 are not required to pay. Nationals who attend a public school at present and are registering for a subject(s) in January 2020 but are registered to sit the said subject(s) in May-June 2020 must pay the Candidate and Subject Fees as well as any other associated fees.
  • From May-June 2010 Nationals are entitled to two (2) free opportunities to register as a private candidate at each examination (CSEC or CAPE)
  • Once the two(2) free opportunities have been utilized the candidates must pay the Candidate and Subject Fee as well as any associated fees.

Step Two

Make Payment (Cash Only)

Once you have ensured that you are required to pay then visit a District Revenue office to make payment

Cash Payment can be made at any one of the following Payment Offices:

  • Any District Revenue Office
  • Administration Building, Tobago

You will be required to fill out a Payment Voucher Form A/B at the office and pay the required fee
After you have paid you will receive a receipt

Step Three

Scan/Take a Picture of Documents

Ensure you have a scan of the following documents:

  • Electronic Birth Certificate (with affidavit where applicable)
  • Valid Picture Identification (Identification Card, Driver’s Permit or Passport)
  • The official receipt for the fees paid (where applicable)
  • A recent (last six months) passport sized photo taken with a plain background

Step Four

Complete online registration form

Ensure that you have a valid email address
Visit www.exams.moe.gov.tt and fill out the registration form
Please ensure ALL the information is accurate before submitting
You will receive a receipt by email when your application is submitted.
