Annual Beach Clean Up
Every year Nature Seekers manages and co-ordinates a clean up on Matura beach. This year the cleanup will be held on March 4th 2018. The cleanup is necessary to make sure the beach is ready for the nesting turtles each year. Volunteers spend one morning making sure that all debris is clear from the beach.
This is a great event for older childreen and teenagers to participate in. You need to contact Nature Seekers to ensure that you are correctly registered for the event.
At the end of the cleanup there is a turtle sand building competition that groups can participate in and win prizes. Overall a very educational and fun day that parents and children can both participate in. This is an annual event held at the start of the nesting period.
