There are 300 students in an auditorium. Of these, 210 are boys.
(a) What percentage of the students is girls (2 marks)
(b) If 60% of the students leave the auditorium, how many students are left?

(a) 30%
(b) 120 Students
Explanation
(a) Boys Percentage: 210÷300 × 100 = 70%
Girls Percentage = 100-70=30%
(b) If 60% leave the auditorium then 40% stay
Number of students left : 40÷100×300 = 120
