Arts-in-Action, will be conducting its annual Discovery Camp for children between the ages of five to twelve years. Now in its 26th year, the Discovery Camp seeks to provide a facility where children can spend their July-August vacation engaging in a fun and educational arts-based process, using the disciplines of art, dance, drama and music as learning and developmental tools.
Discovery Camp develops its annual arts curricula from broader educational themes or domestic and international observances of relevance to our own cultural space.
The Discovery Camp 2017 theme “MEMORIES’ is taken from a classic calypso by the Might Sparrow in which the Birdie croons into memory the names, the lives, and work of important cultural icons.
